How to fix eSIM not connecting on Google Pixel

Start by making sure Google Pixel is using the ZEN travel eSIM for mobile data.

1. 01Open Settings > Network & internet > SIMs > your travel eSIM and choose Downloaded SIM, Travel, or the plan label shown on your phone as the mobile data SIM.
2. 02Make sure the travel eSIM is turned on.
3. 03Keep mobile data on the travel eSIM while testing.

APN settings are automatic. Do not manually enter data00.telnyx; it is no longer needed and can cause service instability.

Data roaming must be set from the Google Pixel settings path for the travel eSIM, not from the primary SIM settings.

1. 01Open Settings > Network & internet > SIMs > your travel eSIM > Roaming.
2. 02If you are using the plan in the United States, set Data Roaming to OFF.
3. 03If you are using the plan outside the United States, set Data Roaming to ON.
4. 04Keep data roaming off on your primary SIM if you want to avoid home-carrier roaming charges.
5. 05Wait a minute for the phone to re-register after changing this setting.

Turn Automatic Network Selection on. Only choose a network manually if automatic selection fails to connect.

1. 01Open Settings > Network & internet > SIMs > your travel eSIM > Automatically select network.
2. 02Turn automatic network selection on and wait for the phone to register.
3. 03Open a simple website to test data. If it works, leave automatic selection on.
4. 04Only if automatic selection fails, turn it off, wait for the carrier list to load, and try an available local network.
5. 05After a successful manual test, turn automatic selection back on and test again, especially before moving to another city or country.

Restarting reloads the SIM profile, roaming state, and selected network after the settings are correct.

1. 01Turn airplane mode on.
2. 02Wait 30 seconds.
3. 03Turn airplane mode off and wait for the phone to register again.
4. 04If data still does not load, Hold power and volume up, tap Restart or Power off, wait 30 seconds if powered off, then turn the Pixel back on.
5. 05Open a browser and test a simple website before opening maps, social apps, VPNs, or other data-heavy apps.

A travel eSIM can only attach where the selected plan has coverage. Regional plans still have country lists, and border areas can briefly connect to the wrong network.

• Confirm you are in a supported country for the exact plan.
• Move out of basements, aircraft mode dead zones, or remote areas before retesting.
• If you just landed, allow a few minutes for the phone to register.

VPNs, private DNS, parental controls, and some security apps can block the first connection test. Disable them briefly, retest data, then turn back on only the tools you need.
